Kalab Fenta, Founder and CEO of Kalab Coffee, started his coffee journey in Addis Ababa — spending years studying the science of extraction, the history of Ethiopian varietals, and the craft of roasting. In 2024 he opened Kalab Coffee — a roastery, café, and school built on one simple belief: that understanding coffee makes it taste better.

The idea is born over a pour-over in Bisrate Gebriel, Addis Ababa.
2023
First cupping sessions held for friends, family, and curious neighbours.
2024
Kalab Coffee officially opens — roastery, café, and education all under one roof.

Courses programme launches. First 100 students graduate with Kalab certificates.
